RENAMED

THE YANKEES ANNOUNCED THAT THEY ARE RENAMING LEGENDS FIELD THE STADIUM THEY PLAY AT IN TAMPA. IT'S NOW CALLED GEORGE M STEINBRENNER STADIUM. I HAVE BEEN THERE SEVERAL TIMES AND I MUST SAY IT'S DONE VERY NICELY, AND GEORGE OWNS HALF THE TOWN ANYWAY. NICE GESTURE FOR THE FOREVER BOSS.

RK you are right, it is nicely done! I have been there. I am a Mets fan first and foremost, but I am also a fan of baseball. No Parking is obviously one of those "Typical Yankee fan JO's" I don't know why he brings the Mets into this. Jealousy I bet. But that will get you no where. Good luck making your Quota with tickets this month, and when the season starts you can watch your team make it 9 years without a WS!

oh yeah, real jealous of a team thats going to make it 22 years without a world championship banner...it will be a great day when your new park opens and MAYBE they will hoist up a "2008 wild card"flag...and you know what?...you mets fans will be all excited about that...so enjoy the last year in that piece of shit stadium of yours,(where the greatest thing that ever happened there was a beatles concert),get a big bowl of rice and beans, and try not to get too cocky about your "los mets",like you did last year asswipe

I heard the Yankees are putting a giant needle @ the new stadium instead of moving the current Louisville Slugger that currently stands. Since many of their players are being dragged through the mud in the steroid scandal. Since they have a handful of cheaters on their team, maybe they hired the wrong coach with Gerardi? I think Bill Bellicheck would have been a better fit.

almost as bad as the 1986 mets who snorted everything but the base lines....and if i remember correctly, paul loduca was on the mets last year and scott schoenweiss, another steroid abuser,is still on the team...no team is innocent in this mess....baseball execs and fans chose to turn thier backs on it while it was going full throtle in the 90's,now everyone is up in arms about it?
