THE YANKEES ANNOUNCED TODAY THE THE NEW STADIUM WILL BE CALLED YANKEE STADIUM.UNLIKE MOST OTHER TEAMS THAT SELL THE NAMING RIGHTS THE YANKEES SAY NO TO THE LINE OF CORPORATIONS THAT WOULD STRETCH FROM HERE TO THE MOON TO HAVE NAME ON THAT BUILDING.NO NAMES ON JERSEYS,SAME PINSTRIPE UNIFORMS FOR OVER 100 YEARS,NAME STAYS SAME.BASEBALL'S CATHERAL.YANKEE STADIUM.

I feel as if that is a shot @ the team across town. It's not a sell out. I personally don't care if my team played in a cow pasture as long as they win. If a corporation whated to pay you $200 mil over 10 years you would take it too. Big George wants the whole monopoly and rights to anything Yankees, which is fine. But, with them leaving the original Yankee Stadium, they should name their new home Yankee Stadium II. Leaving the building that has more baseball history than any other stadium in the world is a sell out in itself!
oh yeah...its a real sell out to move to a brand new state of the art stadium as opposed to one that opened in 1923...and how could you call it a monopoly of the yankees name by george?...last time i looked HE OWNED THE TEAM!once again the mets are the team to beat in the NL....just like last year when everyone beat them...and lastly,your team should play in a cow pasture,all they do is talk bullshit and they play like shit...22 years and counting without a championship
I can recall many longs stints by your beloved Yankees without a W.S. win. Lets focus on this year since we can't change the past. We will see in October this time. Lets not make excuses either (like the midge) Lets not forget the highest payed player in baseball has yet to perform postseason in pinstripes. Maybe Pavano will play this Year?
