THIS IS A YANKEE BLOG BUT BASEBALL HISTORY WAS MADE YESTERDAY AS SEATTLE PITCHER FELIX HERNANDEZ HIT A GRAND SLAM OFF METS JOHAN SANTANA, THE FIRST SLAM BY AN AL PITCHER IN 37 YEARS.CAN'T BLAME WILLIE FOR THIS. SANTANA IS NOW 7-6 ALTHOUGH ERA IS LOW 7-6 IS 7-6. LIKE I SAID IN PAST I'M GLAD WE DIDN'T GIVE UP MELKY, CANO, HUGHES, KENNEDY AND THEN PAY $140 MILLION FOR THIS GUY.

So with all of your chatter about how much the Mets spent on players, The $50 million extra on the Yankees payroll is only good for 4 more wins? So I see it's real cost effective in the Bronx.
